Boat Breakdown Recovery
For those times where you just are not able to fix the problems yourself, it can really help get you out of trouble by having breakdown cover. The last thing you want is to be stranded on the inland waterways, not knowing who to call.
River Canal Rescue (RCR) operate all day, every day throughout the year, so if you were to ever be caught out by a breakdown they will send out a qualified mechanic to help rectify the problem where possible. If the problem cannot be sorted whilst on the inland waterways, the RCR can organise to get you towed back to safety. They can cover all different types of vessels from Narrowboats to Cruisers. Our Breakdown Cover includes:
- Breakdown Assistance
- Recovery of your vessel to a safe location within 2hrs cruising
- Maximum of 3 call-outs in any 1 year period
- Crew relay to your home or home marina
Breakdown cover for just £85 (or £100 with the recovery option)
We also offer basic membership for £40 which gives you the ability to call the River Canal Rescue for breakdown assistance by paying £50 per call out.
Please note that we only provide breakdown cover if you already insure your vessel with us.
